Top 10 Best Colors to Wear Right Now

Happy New Year! Yes, it’s 2017! If you’re like me, you are ready to take on the new year. Anyone that knows me knows that I love black. This year, one of my goals is adding more color to my wardrobe. I’m not afraid of color. On the contrary, I LOVE color! It's just black goes with everything. You can wear it for any occasion. Black can be dressed up or dressed down. It really is a blank canvas. After a while, black can begin to get boring. If one of your goals is to spice up your look for winter 2017, look no further! I’m going over the top 10 best colors to wear now. What you already have may surprise you.

#1 Olive

This green is great for those looking to add color to their collection without the bold and brightness of a true green. Choosing an olive green like these makes the color more of a neutral allowing you to pair it with many different colors and pattern options.

#2 Rust

Rust is a shade that reminds me of the 90’s grunge era. It has cycled back around like many fashion trends before it. Many designers including many popular makeup brands have caught the rust wave. I have to admit I'm loving every bit of it!

#3 Copper

All that glitters ain’t gold, it’s copper! Flattering on all skin tones, copper is a metallic that you don’t have to save for the holidays. You can wear it right now without feeling like you’re a disco ball. Perfect for date night or girls night out.

#4 Sky Blue

No this is not for your winter blues. This sky blue is an airy color getting you ready for spring while being a beautiful contrast to the white winter. It truly is perfect for any daytime look.

#5 Warm Taupe

2016 made nudes a staple in almost every wardrobe. 2017 will be no different. Designers have found ways to keep your nude habit alive with this shade of warm taupe. This is another color that looks great on all complexions. Perfect for transitioning into spring!

#6 Gray

The closest thing to wearing black without wearing something completely dark, gray! This color will forever remain classic, clean, and timeless.

#7 Rose

Second up to the nude craze has got to be the rose craze. From blush tones to rose gold, pink has been a strong presence in the fashion community. Although it is not as neutral as a nude, it is a perfect base to build upon or a great standalone color. If you haven't caught this rose bug you should!

#8 Chocolate

What is usually associated with fall has branched out into the next level of nude. Many makeup artists have added to the trend with rich lip colors and eyeshadows that will make your smokey eye go from basic to wow.

#9 Burgundy

Feel fine like wine this season with burgundy hues. For those who typically gravitate towards darker colors, this is a perfect transition from boring black. This color will add sexiness to any look.

#10 Scarlett

Scarlett is a true red. Perfect for Valentine's Day, this color will add a sexy vibe reminiscent of Jessica Rabbit. This color is not for the faint at heart it is bold and definitely will make you feel confident when wearing.

This season, make sure you incorporate the pieces you already have in your closet with a few new ones. If you're scared to try some of these colors start out with the more neutral tones like the warm taupe, and gray, then build your way up. Maybe the addition of outerwear accessories like a new hat or scarf, or even handbag or shoe would be perfect for you to add pops of color like scarlett to your day to day or day to night look. And if you feel like you're not ready for any of these colors or they're just not you try adding some of these options to your makeup collections. Today, there are so many options out there that the sky is the limit. Since it is one of my resolutions to add more color, I'll be trying a few of these colors. What colors call out to you?
