A Miracle Mask at Home

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay, which is 100% calcium Bentonite (green) clay, is a staple in natural product enthusiast's households all over. Bentonite clay has such a good deal of health beneficial properties it's no wonder so many people use this as a go-to for many home remedies.

This clay mask has also been dubbed in the beauty community as a Miracle Mask and the Most Powerful Facial. This clay is popular for facial masks since the skin receives many benefits from it.

Unclogs Pores

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay unclogs and shrinks your pores. Even if you don’t have oily skin, your pores still get clogged and can enlarge over time.

Controls oil

If you do have oily or combination skin, the clay helps control your oil levels. If you produce too much oil, that can lead to acne, blackheads or whiteheads. If you have a blemish, the clay can be mixed with water and dabbed directly on it and left overnight, similar to many acne treatments in the stores.

Detoxes

Bentonite clay draws toxins out from skin. Removing toxins from your pores reduces inflammation and redness. The clay binds to the toxins since the clay has a negative charge and most toxins have positive charges.

Gives you a Natural Glow

Because you are drawing out toxins and oils from your pores and removing dead skin cells, you’re conditioning and nourishing your skin naturally.

What You Need:

• 2 - 3 Tbsps of Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay ( I used 2 Tbsps)

• 2 - 3 Tbsps Apple Cider Vinegar

• small plastic or glass bowl

• measuring spoon

*disclaimer* Do not use a metal bowl or utensils. This will cause the mask to be ineffective because the clay will react to the metal.

step one:

Mix everything together to make a paste.

*warning* bad eyebrows ahead! I know I know I'm getting them done soon. I promise!

step two:

Apply to freshly washed face. You can use a makeup sponge, makeup brush, or your fingers. I used a foundation brush.

step three:

Allow to set and dry for about 15 - 20 minutes, or 10 - 15 minutes if you have sensitive skin.

Then rinse with warm water and gently use washcloth to clean face.

step four:

Use a toner. I used Lush's Tea Tree Water. I love this toner! It really makes my skin feel refreshed and hydrated.

step five:

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Yes, the mask provides moisture, but you should always follow up with a moisturizer to lock in that moisture the mask provided. Even on oily skin.

I used mark For Goodness Face Antioxidant Skin Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30.

You may see redness in your face after doing this mask and that is perfectly normal. The blood is just rushing to your face. This will normalize after a few minutes, promise!

You need only to do this mask once a week for best results. I will go over my skincare routine in a later post. Try this mask out this weekend. I swear it will give you life! Let me know if you've ever tried this mask. If so, how did it work for you?
